Minimising risk by Optimising performance: machines and processes which are performing to their optimum level of specified functionality, require less human interaction (intervention) and are therefore “Safe by Design”.

”Safety by Design” is a requirement of compliance to the European Machine Directives for CE-Marking. That requirement involves identifying possible hazards in machines and processes in the design phase and immediately eliminating or substituting these risks to health or environment where reasonably practicable.

This process is also a requirement of the Australian and New Zealand machine and process safety legislation. The services provided by Nutcracker enable clients to continuously identify and reduce the Risks to their Company and Occupational Health & Safety profile, Compliance Liability, Environment and Profitability.

Nutcracker Safety-Net is providing Training and Consultancy Services for Risk Management and Occupational Health and Safety compliance to manufacturing industries in Australia and New Zealand, including CE Marking Services to machine builders exporting to the European Economic Community.

In more detail, these services include a flexible suite of consultancy services and (on-site) training modules for Plant and Risk Assessment, Safety Design and Verification, Essential Health and Safety Requirements for CE Marking, Risk Management (AS 31000) and Machine-Safety Compliance.

In addition, we perform HAZOP studies AS 61882, and (annual) Auditing, Operational-Safety training and Safe-Design training according to AS 4024, AS 62061, EN ISO 13849, AS EN ISO 61508 and other relevant Australian and European Norms and Standards.
