The International Diabetes Institute is a WHO Regional Collaborating Centre for Diabetes, and provides a range of services to clients and health professionals in the field of diabetes, obesity and other related disorders. The Institute has conducted research in the Region for more than 20 years, and has recently moved into the area of biomedical and genomic research. The Institute also conducts client and health professional education programs across Australia and overseas. The Institute is a world leader in the field of diabetes, and Professor Paul Zimmet AM heads the Institute a dynamic leader, and committed and dedicated scientist.
