Drill Guidance System. A newly developed Measure Whilst Drilling navigation system suitable for surface or underground directional drilling, both intrinsic safe and non-intrinsic safe configurations. A state of the art Windows based computer system providing advanced horizontal steering effective for underground coal seam degasification, exploration and commercial coalbed methane gas extraction. State of the art technology with focussed Gamma option for roof and floor detection. Advanced downhole battery and instrument diagnostics with high speed data acquisition, graphical drill path presentation and constant tool face display.

Collison Avoidance System. A stand alone system that provides visual and audible warning signs to tagged units entering a designated at risk zone associated with heavy vehicles. Images are provided to the operator of the heavy and mobile equipment via colour cameras on a high resolution colour LCD monitor display with text overlay to inform the operator of any danger as detected by the radio frequency transceivers.

In response to industry requirements for a safer, more productive and less stressful working environment when using Heavy Vehicles and Large Mobile Equipmemt, AMT has developed a Collision Avoidance System (CAS). Colour video cameras with a high resolution LCD display unit and Radio Frequency transceivers have been integrated into a unique collision avoidance system providing advanced warning, automatic object detection and classification (CAS-CAM RF).

AMT's new Drill Guidance System (DGS) is suitable for surface or underground drilling applications in both intrinsic safe and non-intrinsic safe configurations. This advanced steering system not only provides significantly more data but is designed to enable flexibility and a path into the future with an architecture that is very suitable for expansion.

Directional drilling technologies developed by AMT have played a major role in improving the effectiveness of coal seem degasification. AMT's DDM-MECCA has become the established industry standard for accurate placement of in seam horizontal bore holes throughout the coal mining industry.
